Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me.  Psalm 131:2 ASV

For 20 years Ruth Maston has partnered alongside of her husband Mario in leading the Vineyard Church of Greater Portland. Having raised four children, her heart for children has led her to become a reading teacher in a local school, and also the pastor of VCGP Children’s Ministry.

Eager to learn more and wanting to be taught, Ruth has a longing to intimately know Christ. She is a woman gifted with wisdom, discernment, council, creativity and sacrifice.

Her journey through the Psalms has helped her to better understand their purpose. How the Psalms depict our collective humanity, our emotions, doubts, and fears. That even in our darkest moments Christ is willing and able to lead us in praise, victory and hope.

So join us as Ruth leads us in “A Weekend in the Psalms”.
