Welcome to the Meet-Love-Sleep Event Page!
Meet-Love-Sleep is a sleeping bag push event to provide sleeping bags, socks and other essential items to our greater Portland homeless community. Why is it called Meet-Love-Sleep? Well because that is exactly what we will be doing. On Saturday September 21st at 2P we will be in Monument Square with sleeping bags and backpacks filled with socks and essentials to meet our homeless community, love on them with conversation and prayer and provide them with some practical items to help them whether they are on the street or in the shelter. The most important items for our homeless population are sleeping bags and socks. This church's desire and in connection with that Local 854's desire and mission is to serve those in our community because that is what they deserve. Local 854's mission statement is "One Life to Serve". We believe Jesus has commissioned us to use our life to serve others as well as always being aware of that one life that we can serve and make a difference in. Will you use your one life to serve another? Join us on Saturday September 21st to serve those who are the most vulnerable in our community. Would you also donate something to this cause? Here is the detailed list of what we need:
Cold Weather Sleeping Bags (Not Cotton or Polyester)
Socks, Socks, Socks!!!!!!
Winter Gloves (Not Cotton)

Below you will find a volunteer form to fill out. If you can't volunteer that is okay but please consider donating a sleeping bag, socks or essentials to this cause!
