Welcome to our Persuading with Truth Information Page! “Persuading With Truth” is our Apologetics Zoom group where we desire to answer this one main question, “Why do we believe what we believe”? Peter exhorts us in 1 Peter 3:15, “to honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you”. PWT seeks to equip and train one another with a solid biblical worldview so to offer a defense for our faith at any moment with gentleness and respect. PWT focuses on being rooted in solid biblical theology in order to engage the skepticism of the culture when it comes to issues of faith and in particular Christianity. Our view is that in order to have a “high view” of God we must as the church have a “high view” of scripture. We do not believe that pursuing our faith requires us to suspend the notion of intellectualism but that God desires for us to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of who He is and that it brings God pleasure when we desire to be filled with spiritual wisdom and knowledge with the primary source being the “God-breathed” inspired Word of God!
Right now we are currently running a 5 week series answering the question “Can I Trust the Bible”? Over the next 5 weeks we will be meeting weekly every Thursday night via Zoom @ 7P to explore this question. Over the next 5 weeks we are going to discuss among other things, the historicity of Jesus, the preservation of The Gospel message, the formation of The Bible, the reliability of The Bible, the contradictions and variants in The Bible and finally the nature of The Bible.
